Let’s be real, I live in So Cal. It’s basically always bronzer season, and I do love a good bronzer and here’s just a few from my collection:
Swatches and details below:
Makeup Forever Pro Bronze Fusion in 25i. This one is a little pale on me, BUT it is good for a subtle contour / bronze glow look. $36 at Sephora
Mac Refined Golden from the Surf, Baby Collection. This is one of my oldest and FAVORITE bronzers. As you can see it is almost orangey, but if you’re medium to tan, it actually applied beautifully. I def can’t wear this when I’m on the pale side, but in the summer I love this to get a nice summer glow on. Unfortunately, this isn’t available anymore, but Mac’s Give Me Sun is a very close dupe.
Too Faced Sun Bunny is also another one that I’ve had for years and have loved, but forgot about it for a bit. As you can see I have the older packaging and the logo on the front is completely rubbed off. This one is a little more cool-toned which makes it easier to wear, but the best part of this is that it has two different colors. I LOVE this because the light side actually makes an awesome highlight, but I also can control how dark I want my bronzer to be. $30 at Sephora & TooFaced.com
JCat Golden Soleil Baked Bronzer in Cancun Golden Tan. I LOVE JCat beauty powders. They are pigmented and creamy. I only wish Ulta would sell them in stores. It drives me NUTS that it’s not. I haven’t actually used this that much yet, but I really love the color and the formula and it’s only $7.99 at Ulta.com. I’ve been trying to get my hands on Coconut Island as a highlight, BUT it’s never in stock and Ulta doesn’t have a notify me when in stock button.
Mac Mineralized Skinfinish in Gold Deposit. I actually bought this online hoping it would be more like antique gold, but it’s more bronze. I do like using it as a blush though. It is SUPER glittery. It’s a very fine glitter, but glittery none the less. $32 at Mac.
Mac Mineralized Skinfinish in Cheeky Bronze. This one is SUPER similar to Gold Deposit, just a TAD bit deeper and more orange. This ALSO has a ton of glitter in it, but I do still use it as a blush. This is also $32 at Mac.
MUD Cosmetics Bronzer in Endless Summer. This is my go to matte bronzer, I love it SOO much. I contour with this pretty often. It’s VERY pigmented and the formula is super buttery. Infact it’s pretty easy to crack the powder if you take it on the go. I actually have 2 of them, because the last time I went to the store I decided I wanted a backup one in case it breaks again without being able to salvage it. It’s $26 at mudshop.com. The line can also be found at their stores (located on the website) or at Naimies in LA.
