I have been seeing these Jeffree Star Velour Lipsticks all over Instagram / Youtube for awhile now and have been super curious about them. I didn’t buy them earlier because I didn’t think I really needed another liquid lipstick (since I already have a bunch of brands that I love), but they had a promotion a little while ago and so I decided to just go for it and pick up a few.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s is on the right and is pretty much a PERFECT Tiffany blue shade. While I love the color and applaud everyone that can pull this off, I don’t think it’s a shade that I would actually wear out. It’s just not me, BUT I did really want it just as a collector’s piece.
Abuses is the color I actually really want. It’s a really deep, bruised color purple. I absolutely LOVE this color, it’s so pretty on. As you can see though it did bleed a little on my arm, and very slightly on my lips I also should mention that I had just removed some gloss, so that could have been a factor. I’m going to try again another day with a fresh face.

Formula – While it’s not my favorite, I do like it a lot. I also found that it was MUCH easier to apply with a lip brush vs the applicator. It is very lightweight and not too drying, but it did take me two coats to get an even application. Once again, this was just a quick test and I did JUST remove gloss before putting it on, but I’ll definitely review it again properly.
The best part of Jeffree’s Velour Lipsticks is that they come in the most unique colors, which is why I think they are worth the money. You can buy these lipsticks (or see all the different colors here.

I could never pull of those colors but I do appreciate that they are available for those who are more daring than me. charmedchristy.wordpress.com
Last night I actually ended up wearing the Breakfast at Tiffany’s color as a bottom shadow and I LOVED it! Don’t be afraid of color, just maybe re-purpose it! 🙂
