Manicure Mondays – OPI Spring 2016 New Orleans Collection

IMG_1317

I have been DYING to get my hands on this collection. There were so many colors I felt like I needed because I didn’t have anything like them. That was probably a huge lie because I own over 500 bottles of nail polish, but that I felt very compelled to get [most of] this collection anyway. I didn’t grab 3 colors (Suzi Nails New Orleans, Take a Right on Bourbon, and I’m so swamped), because I felt like I would either never wear the color OR I wasn’t a fan of the finish. Everything else though I “needed”. The ones I ended up getting are (top L to R and then bottom L to R):

  • Spare Me A French Quarter? – A raspberry creme
  • She’s A Bad Muffaletta – A red creme
  • Got Myself Into a Jam-balaya – A coral creme
  • Show Us Your Tips! –  A dusty blue with a soft silver shimmer
  • I Manicure For Beads – A purple creme
  • Humidi-tea – A peachy beige with a subtle shimmer
  • Rich Girls & Po-Boys – A bright blue creme
  • Crawfishin’ for a Compliment – A peachy orange creme
  • Let Me Bayou A Drink – A VERY pale pink (white based) with a subtle white shimmer

I swatched Got Myself Into a Jam-balaya above. I love how bright and pretty it it. It’s a TAD less pink and more coral-y in real life but my camera was having a really hard time focusing and getting the right color. Ooof. I really wanted to swatch all of them for you, but my nails currently had gel polish on (I’m due for a new set, which is why the swatches look kind of silly) and putting too much acetone to constantly switch polishes would have made the gel start peeling, so I’ll save it for another day. 🙂
