This fun Halloween “Haunted” House nails are fun and easy to do. All you have to do is paint your nail whatever color you want. I picked grey because it’s gloomy, but still light enough to see the black clearly. Then wait for your nails to completely dry. I mean REALLY dry. If you think it’s ready, wait an extra hr. (Trust me, I had to redo my thumb like 4 times because I was impatient). Once it’s really completely dry, take a Sharpie and just sketch out whatever you want – gravestones, houses, barren trees, bats, crosses (if you want to do a ghost, use a fine tipped white paint marker). Wait a good 10 mins for the Sharpie to really set. This is the most important step of all – make sure to spray some hair spray over your nails to prevent the Sharpie from bleeding. I didn’t get enough on my thumb and that’s why you can see a slight smear. Once again, wait for it to dry thoroughly. Then use the top coat of your choice and viola, you’re done! Typically I would have used Essie’s Matte About You to make it a SUPER matte finish, but I couldn’t find my bottle, so I used Orly’s Matte Top. It’s more of a satin finish which isn’t quite what I was going for, but it is what it is.
