I was going to try to write a blog, but to be honest, my anxiety has hit an all-time high. While my anxiety was already starting to build up before the war started, it got way worse after watching the news and videos and clips from social media. I decided to add a few more ways to support and help Ukraine since it’s been weighing on my heart.
CARE.ORG –
Ukraine Crisis Fund
Your emergency gift supports CARE’s Ukraine Crisis Fund to reach 4 million with immediate aid and recovery, food, water, hygiene kits, psychosocial support, and cash assistance — prioritizing women and girls, families, and the elderly. (Description taken from their website)
WCK serving thousands of fresh meals to Ukrainian families fleeing home as well as those who remain in the country. (Description taken from their website)
UNHCR –
UNHCR is on the ground. Your compassionate support can help provide emergency supplies, lifesaving care and protection the moment families in Ukraine are forced to flee for their lives. You will help children, women and men displaced by violence in Ukraine know they are not alone at the most devastating moment of their lives. (Excerpt from their website)
Also, please remember to double and triple-check facts before accidentally spreading misinformation. Find reliable sources to follow. My absolute FAVORITE way to check on world events and politics is following Sharon McMahon (@sharonsaysso) on IG. She’s really wonderful at breaking down everything and simplifying it so that it’s understandable to EVERYONE. She’s really good at sticking to facts and not leaning towards any particular party.
