New Foundations

IMG_1560

Every summer I have to change my foundation routine, because not only does it get hotter and more humid, but by the end of the summer my skin will be about 7 shades darker.

I went to Naimie’s to try out a bunch of them and came home with these 3:

The left is the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation. I personally LOVE this one the best. If you’re oily it’s probably not the best, but my skin is still pretty dry even in the humidity. It has a wonderful dewy finish, it’s SUPER lightweight but with good coverage. I like that I can set it with powder (if I want) and it’s still hydrating, but I can also just set it with a setting spray. It holds all day and my blush, contour, highlight all blend super well on it.

The middle is the LORAC Sheer Porefection Foundation. This one is VERY similar to the NARS Sheer Glow, but it’s a little thicker in consistency and has slightly more full coverage and it’s quite as dewy. I would say it’s more of a natural finish than dewy, but it’s still hydrating and less expensive than the NARS Sheer Glow.

Left is the MUFE Water Blend Foundation – Not going to lie, I bought this because I LOVE the MUFE Face & Body (which this replaced). This one is WAY more sheer. It’s amost like not actually wearing ANY foundation. This would be ideal for people who just want to even out their skin tone a little, and are going to the pool / beach but still want to have makeup on. This is waterproof, but to be honest I couldn’t tell if it came off or if it was still on because it’s that sheer. I’m not going to lie, I prefer the old Face & Body formula far better. You can build this one a little, but it takes a long time and it’s not ideal. I will say that like Face and Body, because this is SUCH a sheer foundation, you can use a darker shade to give yourself a slight tan.

What are your summer foundation favorites?
